About Pillo

Pillo is a medication reminder app built around one stubborn idea: a reminder should not give up before you take your medication. Our persistent alarm keeps ringing until you act on it.

What Pillo Does

Pillo helps people with chronic conditions keep up with complex medication schedules. The app combines persistent alarms, dose logging, refill reminders and health trackers (blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, water intake and more) in one place.

With Dependents Management, part of the paid plan, you can also manage medications for children, elderly parents, even pets. Each one gets its own schedule inside your own app.

Pillo is an Android app on Google Play. It is free to download and free for unlimited medications, with ads. A paid plan adds Dependents Management and six safety checkers.

Who Builds Pillo

Pillo is built by pitcrew Inc. On Google Play, the app is listed under our developer name, Pillo Health Inc. Our team works on one problem: missed medications. The World Health Organization reports that adherence to long-term treatment, meaning taking medicine as prescribed, averages only about 50% in developed countries.

We build Pillo for the everyday moments when a dose slips: a busy morning, a phone call, a trip away from home.

Our Journey

It started with three friends, a late-night League of Legends game, and the idea of starting a company together.

In May 2021, Zach Lee, Craig Vishwesh, and Diego Tozzi met through League of Legends. What began as playing games together quickly turned into late-night conversations about programming, technology, and the things we wanted to build.

We soon discovered that we shared more than an interest in gaming. All three of us loved coding, experimenting with new ideas, and creating things from scratch. More importantly, we all had the same ambition: we wanted to start our own company.

We didn't have much experience running a business, and we certainly didn't have everything figured out. But we knew we wanted to build something together, turn our ideas into real products, and eventually create something people would actually use.

That ambition led us to start RTRVR in 2021. Zach helped establish our company in South Korea, and what began as a small project between friends eventually evolved into pitcrew Inc. and Pillo Health Inc.

In the beginning, we weren't focused on any one industry. We simply wanted to make useful software. We spent our time brainstorming ideas, building apps, learning from our mistakes, and figuring out what it actually meant to turn a project into a product.

The idea that eventually became Pillo came from a conversation about our families.

Zach mentioned that his mother sometimes needed help remembering to take her medications on time. Craig related to that experience through his grandmother, who was living with Parkinson's disease. Helping her manage everyday routines was something he understood personally, and he knew how much easier life could be for both of them if there were a simple, dependable way to manage medications.

We realized that these weren't problems unique to our families. Millions of people struggled with medication routines, and the people caring for them often carried that responsibility too.

We started asking ourselves a question: What if we could build something that made this easier for everyone?

We wanted it to be free, simple, and accessible. Something our own families could comfortably use without needing to understand technology or pay for basic features. We weren't interested in making something complicated just because we could. We wanted to build something that solved a real problem.

Of course, getting there wasn't straightforward.

We built plenty of other apps along the way. Some worked, some didn't, and others never made it beyond an early prototype. But every project taught us something new about development, design, and understanding what people actually needed.

Eventually, after countless experiments, conversations, and late nights spent writing code, we built Pillo.

What began as three friends wanting to start a company has grown into a team working to make medication management easier for people and families around the world.

Looking back, it's funny to think that none of this would have happened if we hadn't ended up in the same League of Legends game.

We started because we loved building things and wanted to create a company of our own. We found our purpose when we realized that the things we built could genuinely make someone's life easier.

And that's what continues to drive us today.

How We Handle Health Content

The Pillo blog publishes medication guides written from primary sources: FDA prescribing information, peer-reviewed studies and official health agencies. When an article states a number or a study finding, it links to the source. Articles about medication safety go through medical review before they are published.

Our standards are in our Editorial Policy and Medical Review Policy. Our content is general information, not medical advice. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice specific to your medications.
